Rabia Pasha

Rabia Pasha has been associated with theatre in Islamabad since 2005. Her love for performing arts developed in school. She has previously worked with Theatre Wallay and Insolent Knights (Kuch Khaas). She has been part of several theatre productions at a local level, including two original productions of Theatre Wallay which were a collaboration with Ithaca College NY and US State Department, touring in U.S, including Oregon Shakespeare Festival. She has had the opportunity to work with local and foreign theatre practitioners, helping her to develop technical skills over time. Rabia is trained in Theatre of the Oppressed (Forum Theatre) and has conducted workshops for groups on using the medium for social change. She has also worked as a theatre coach for adolescents in schools. Most recently, Rabia performed in Chaand Nagar’s first major production, Waswasa Aik Kahani in which she plays the Vice Principal, Azra Jabeen. Off stage, she is a development sector professional with a background in law.
